Week 5 Practical Exercise - ANIMATE
During this week , We're required to create motion visual image (animation) to be aware for how to use after affects during the final project
We only need to use a provided image, 'W9 ANIMATE' collage. created by Mr. Fauzi.
For my animation, I firstly by background to revolve in circular motion then everything starting to appear gradually the Machine and the shark and the fencer then the type writer the last thing to appear I tried to pop all them out in order
For this exercise unfortunately I was facing problem with accessing Adobe on my MacOS and I was having appointment to apple store to solve the problem regarding this because this is not my first time so I lost a lot of files so I couldn't to screenshot of my process while I was working on, However, I'll explain how I edited this animation in detail as another solution to my problem.
Here is the process , after I settled for the placement of each element from the provided elements ,
I moved on to add some features for my animation.
For the first procedure I started with the screen projector since its appearing in slow motion gradually, And I used the background and I cropped it into circle to be revolving and started from smaller size till it became the same size as the whole screen and still revolving then, I made the fencer beside the shark as he's protecting the shark and the shark going to attack something so they're facing something together , then they settled down then the move them around.
Afterwards , the typewriter appears slowly gradually and I ended the animation by the typewriter.
So, here is the final outcome of the Week 9 practical exercise.
This exercise actually was fun for me while im in the process of creating some features for the task, it was a bit confusing when it comes to deciding which element to appear first and what is the last and how to move them .
It was the first time for me to actually experiment something on After Effects.
I was worried because of what happened to the After effects it suddenly closed and I lost the file so I have to redo everything again after a lot of time and effort I spent doing the task Thankfully, I did it.
Next week, we are required to prepare to make more advanced version for the final project.
Final Project : Self-Titled
Week 10 - Idea Development
For this week, we're required to start to work on the final project which is called (Self-Titled).
The final project is about the motion poster that represents our personality/Traits , and reflect it into the digital art work.
As the first task we're required to do is , we were asked to complete the idea development
So I will insert PDF that explain my idea development for this week.

Week 11 - Project Slide - Design Direction

For week 11, I started to completed the given project slide, which is to proceed on sketch ideas, and transform those ideas into the digital poster.
As you can see at my PDF, I created two digital poster according to what I sketched.
So I wanted to share my steps during the process of the self portrait poster , I have camera already so I asked my friend to help me out with taking the picture that im gonna use for this project .
I did everything on the camera from the stettings just my friend will help me out to press on the button of the camera

So I noticed here that hair was coming out of my scarf , which will effect my idea as my idea is actually cutting my face or splitting my face so I decided to do further edits to remove the hair coming out of my scarf .
I took a lot of time and effort to be honest but during the photo my friend didn't notice that my hair coming out of the scarf .
But its okay I tried my best to solve this problem .

Week 12 - Project Slide - Execution and post production

During this week , Its simply advance the work week .
So I'm almost done with my final project nothing much lest only very simple edits .
Week 13
I will explain my idea and my self portrait meaning and everything .
I just wanted to deliver a message behind my work not only to do an assignment and that’s it , but also trying to work on myself as much as i can to come up with a really great idea .
First of all i have to believe in myself , by visualizing how to create artwork related to myself and my preferred goals and future this helps me to work towards my goals
Also research about myself which indicates the visualization it really helps .
Creating vision of what i want .
I have to always see myself within the vision , to know what i wanted to do and what to became what i like what i dislike etc.. The most important thing is to be immersed in every part of what i desire , my soul and mind this maximize the chances of achieving my biggest dream.
Actually this work reflects many things in my personality and myself image .
I enjoy the vibes of 60’s style , and I am fond of everything that is vintage and old. I prefer classic over modern style.
and old stuff , as I really like vintage vibes .
If i had the choice to live in which era I would prefer old generation , I will explain each and every thing used within my design.
The butterflies used in my design coming out of my head is because people always telling me that I’m social butterfly , I love to communicate with people. In my point of view , its win to win situation when you know a lot of people both sides win you gain experience with dealing with different personalities and you share your experiences at the same time.
I used both real butterflies and graphic butterflies because in real life I really like the butterflies how they created by god and how they are designed naturally and their combination of colors as well , and for the graphic butterflies i used it because simply I like animation and graphic design as well .
And the reason why my face splitted or opened as I wanted to represent something here which is what inside my personality and what is my inner thoughts and the part that hidden within my head I wanted to explore its like I wanted to share my thoughts .
I decided to use the old tv’s as it represents my experiences and my challenges as my pictures there wanted to represent who I am , and I used to make it to turn on and turn off its like gouache not very clear because most of the time im not sure about my strengths and skills, and simple as im old fashioned person I usually prefer the old tv’s over the smart tv’s it has really different vibes.
Also I wanted to use the tv its like showing my experiences and challenges its like a series of my life im also plaining to work as broadcaster in the future.
The purpose of using the clouds as background is to illustrate that my future is a bit not clear its like the clouds does not have fixed shapes.
As I wanted to express my thoughts / past I tend to use the black CD used in the old music machine its rotating like my mind always thinking its kind of reminding me of the past.
The Gramophone used for the music as it’s old tool people uses in the past to listen to the music.
The Music I have used within this work is very old classic arabic music just wanted to represent my origin and that I am from egypt as part of the self titled .
The concept behind this design , is simply I wanted to explore my thoughts and the things I love the most and because maybe im in the wrong era . 95% of the people nowadays love the technology even though the technology is taking over this era. I really love the smell of the books and phones doesnt have the same effect as if your’e reading a book , its a totally different vibes .
My concept through my design simply I wish that people communicate more like the old days talk more and to live like the old style when you enter any place everyone looking at their phones and not even communicating with each other thats my concept .
I am a very old-fashioned person. I prefer classic over modern. I enjoy exploring old cities in Egypt and seeing the antiques. The message I am trying to send throughout my work is that even though the technology is taking over this era. We still reminiscing to nostalgic things. Such as old phones, gramophones , old tv’s and etc.
I would love to deliver my message and my concept as much as I could .

Week 14
For this week here's my final SELF TITLED ANIMATION , let's talk about for chosen audio of the motion video I wanted to pick the song that is really fits my work. Therefore, I chose the song Arabic Music, only music with no lyrics because if Arabic Lyrics lecturer will not understand the lyrics so I chose only music , it's ana Arabic music , the reason behind chosen this music simply because I'm Arab , and I'm from Egypt this I wanted to choose Music which is not only any music but something as it's self titled to represent me beside it's one of my the most favourite songs, , it also something which truly represents my origin.
So I faced a problem during uploading my video which is the copyright, I decided to share the video on the drive as well and to share the link here to hear the music .

So my reflection for this Project , I was wondering how I will work on Adobe after effects I know its not that easy but to be honest Mr Fauzi made everything very smooth and simple , his way of explaining his slides and even his demo it's step by step he helped me a lot .
It was very difficult for me at the begging as I faced many issues I lost my files and adobe logged out and also all the previous files lost , but it was quite challenging for me to start all over again but its okay !
For building up the idea part its really very hard , it needs a lot of creativity but its doable .
To be honest this is the smoothest subject this semester I really enjoyed this subject very much despite my medical condition and all of that and Mr Martin & Mr Fauzi they're supper supportive and very friendly and they appreciate each and every effort they're the reasons that I continued this semester with great progress Mr Fauzi always telling me great work keep it , and always his positive vibes push me forward .
I was a bit stupid this semester I didn't know how to handle classroom because this is my first time , but at the end of the day I did it.
Mr Martin Always contacting me because he knows my health condition and kept telling me to be strong !
What a lovely Module I really enjoyed it.
I hope they continue with me till the graduation and to teach me all the subjects.
The good point In this module for each and every new assignment there was something new to learn, I believe that if my health condition was better I have produced better work but I really tried my best to do everything even while I was In the hospital
I would like to say Thank you for appreciating my health condition and for extending for me the submissions its really appreciated.
After-all I noticed at the end of the semester that I enjoyed this subject but at the end and I really learned a lot in this module
Lastly, thank you very much for Mr. Fauzi and Mr. Martin for the entire journey for the semester, Im so happy and honoured that Both of you conducted this module to me I hope it lasts till my graduation and you teach me everything in this major .
