Reflection
I really enjoyed this exercise , I took a lot of effort and time to be honest but I enjoyed it .
This is a new skill that I have learned , its my first time to know that we can re-colour any picture ,
But the only thing that confused me in this exercise is the number of layers , I'm working on myself to improve more and more.
Week 7 - Recolouring Black and White
However, for the exercise 2 the next part , since we're allowed to choose one from those B&W images on the provided file.
To start the first process of the exercise, I chose the image of The Girl holding cigarette . The reason why I chose her is just because I simply I love the details and I love challenges as well , So this picture is very challenging to me . So I Started to proceed with it .

Super satisfied and excited to practice this exercise on the very old pictures for me and my grandma that passed away and it was Black and white now I can recolour them perfectly.

This exercise encouraged me to create poster for "Awareness for not using plastic"
I Really love this exercise , I created 2 posters one for plastic and for myself for people who's always commenting on me wearing black in Arabic , Here's my two posters inspired while doing the research , The picture taken of the plastic poster the model is my friend .

Im Really so happy that I created those posters that delivers specific message.
The next step for this project , to do research for the topic of "Refugee in Malaysia" which will lead to the title, slogan, call-to-action, and details for the poster later on.
Here are the progress of the research I've done,
I did search on Rohingya refugees coping to survive in Malaysia.
Figure 46 the research for topic Refugee in Malaysia
Figure 47 the research for topic Refugee in Malaysia
Then I started to sketch to confirm how to express the topic with those elements.
I used very rough sketches .
 |
| Figure 48 ideas sketches |
I firstly started to choose the pictures that I'm going to use for the project.
All of them my own photographed pictures and the main picture from the internet ,
As I asked Mr Fauzi can I photograph Egyptian models but he told me the poster the refugee in Malaysia so use Malaysian model and as I'm outside the country right now so I chose picture from the internet ,
Here are my pictures I used within developing the poster
Figure 49 pictures used in poster creation
After I gathered all elements I need for the poster, then I started to design for the poster and I proceeded with the first sketch .
I chose the frame to be this one its like film shatter from the camera

| Figure 62 Title type expression |
I used the foot print as it symbolises the their feet walking , Till how far they will be walking and till when ?
 |
| Figure 63 Title improvement |
I made path behind word walk .
After I'm done with the title part, I moved on to design for the slogan part
 |
| Figure 64 the first step for the layout of the slogan |
I improved the slogan part by adding two lines because it was very plain

|
I didn't like it much so I decided to make another design

 |
| Figure 67 call of action |
Then I aded that they deserve your help and all lives matter .
Then I changed to Get involved and save lives.
I decided to change the www.helprefugees.com with the official website of the UNHCR.
That help for donations or even to contact them through

So after doing some research I UNHCR Malaysia Organisation basically UNHCR seeks long term solutions for refugees including finding hem new homes in third countries or helping them return home voluntarily when it is safe to do so,While they are seeking temporary protection in Malaysia, UNHCR strives to create a safe and secure environment for them where their basic needs are met. UNHCR cooperates with its Government and civil society partners in humanitarian support for refugees including in education, healthcare and community support.
So I chose them for call of action that leads whoever will see the poster to donate for the Organisation ,
So I decided to use their logo and website for my poster as they're well known organisation .

Week 9
After a lot of modifications , within the poster I cam up with 2 posters coloured one and black and white one.
I want to explain the reason for using each and every element within my design and what is the message behind every thing within the poster .
Polaroid film picture Frame — I decided to use the frame as the frame of the polaroid camera that used in printing the picture immediately, which means it captures the moment in their life and how hard is it as their memories all in pain.
The pattern — I have used in the scarf of the mother and the background as well its Malaysian pattern it used twice within the scarf very light pattern and the background as well to represent refugee in especially in (Malaysia) thats why I have used Malaysian pattern .
The Red text used in the background — its used in the background simply Red colour it represents Danger and Anger , so I mean here the sacrifice they did just for living, the sacrifice of the mum for both of her children , red colour it delivers the message that their lives is in danger and its used as well to represent anger .
Door and windows — are used for representing their fate , the doors are closed in their faces which means they have no choice , this is their fate they have to accept it even if the doors closed i mean by doors here ( Good eduction , good house , good clothes , good food etc .. ) and also the doors that i photographed here is very old and ancient which represents also social class that their social class is not rich people so the doors looks old and they’re made of iron which already rusted .
Theme of Poverty , even the colours of the doors very old, it also full of dust.
Foot print that used behind the title — what will be the next step in their lives ? It's unknown , they will spend their whole lives lost and they left everything, it also represents the meaning of my title ( How far will they walk? ), signs/remnant off their foot/shoes , because their path to the future is full of walking.
path behind word walk — I meant by this path the very small path behind word walk , their path to the future is full of walking , they wake up everyday hoping for better tomorrow

Final work in PDFReflection
This is really very hard for me as I took a lot of effort and time and I was very confused about very small details but because I'm very keen on doing the details , at the beginning it was so difficult to come up with one sketch , but after that I came up with a lot of ideas there were no space to express all of my ideas , for the typography part MR Fauzi told me to improvise a bit , and I already improvised .
I learned for this project how to mask , it was new process for me .
Overall beside the struggles I really enjoyed this exercise a lot and I had very good time and chance for learning new things as I learned and made extra posters the one that I made for myself about people's comments about wearing black and about plastic awareness (using my friend as model ) .
The photo used within the blog that written on it PROJECT 2 is photographed by me the this is the 'Great pyramids in Egypt' so I used it For the Digital photography blog trying to show how much I love Digital photography & imaging
