Project 2 : Sense of Place
During todays lecture we have learned about the importance of observation So definition of
Observation : An active act of acquiring information, through the senses, of a subject matter in its natural setting.
Importance of observation for designers : Observation is important to designers as it enables them to see "problems", as well as getting ideas for solutions to those problems.
If you observed your surrounding there are many things that could be translated into works of design.

Project 02: Sense of Place
For our project 2 we were asked to observe our surroundings. It could be a room in your house/condominium/apartment; it could be the whole unit, maybe your garden or maybe a view overlooking from the balcony, etc. You could even observe if there are any human activities (chatting, cooking, cycling, etc.
and to Record these observations in photographs or sketches. Select visuals that you find relevant and interesting to you, which you can translate into a design work that reflects your interpretation of a place, showing multiple aspects of the place. Remember to apply design principles in your work. Upload all selected visuals with descriptions, along with idea exploration and your final idea in e-blog. The final idea must be accompanied by a 150-to 200-word rationale.

This place in the downtown it’s special in selling antiques and old tv’s / radios Magazines for very famous singers and artists, its arounf 10,000+ recorded collection, tapes and more since 2007
we can use it for decorating with an Antique Style, Some people buy antiques to decorate their home and like the antique feel. Antique pieces can decorate a home in a beautiful fashion
for me i like to collect antiques because the items hold sentimental value for example i hold on to a ring that’s given to me by my great grandmother so this rings means a lot to me .
or you can find a table in someone’s house that’s been in the family for three generations so that’s so interesting, so there’s tv here its around 89 years old or more so its double double double my age so interesting

So after consultation with Miss Maria she suggested the following :
1. to draw a place in which this place you have spend lots of time, and try to imagine when these are turns into antique how are they going to look like
so you need to pay attention to detail of antique stuffs, and color
2. you might want to select the antique object you saw from the display, and try to imagine of you live in that time, so you are going to time travel and illustrate sense of place through your experience there

I am old-fashioned person. I prefer classic over modern. I enjoy exploring old things i prefer 60’s vibes i love vintage stuff.
One of my favourite old stuff like gramophones , old tv’s and etc.
You can be unique not necessary to follow the others you can have your own different soul and style.
I really love the era that everyone was living enjoying the Moment, even if it was difficult.
So I chose to live with my own way and own style and I am always searching for what makes me happy and satisfied.
I started by sketching my idea first .

Feedback
Miss Maria gave me positive feedback for this project , Well done I like the idea .
Reflection
This is the best project for me so far , as I visited my favourite place not only that but also I took pictures of it this exercise give me the chance to discover the antiques there more , during this exercise I learned about perspective as I was drawing the room .
I'm happy that Miss Maria liked the final outcome .
I was very happy during the drawing process as I was drawing the stuff that made me happy so I was very glad doing this project.
