INSTRUCTIONS



PROJECT 1 - Audio Dubbing (Part 1)

Week 4

Mr Martin gave us a short muted video clip which is a scene from a movie called Soul and a script provided ,We were assigned to do audio editing.
We have to add sound effects and ambient sound to this scene and also add our recorded voice following script. Besides that, we also need to make sure all the voice-over is lip-synced. 
Mr Martin also provided us with some websites where can download different sound effects and ambient sounds. I chose one of the websites which are freesound.com for the sounds that added in the video.

I started to edit the video on primer pro , For the man's voice I used the Pitch Shifter effect and for the girls giggling also . After a long time of editing and searching audio, I finally finished editing the video and this is the final outcome of the audio editing exercise.

Week 6

Mr Martin gave me feedback on my video, he suggested to remove the music in the background , as marks will be given for the sound effects and the music a bit noisy and also no effort in it so  I decided to follow the instructions

PROJECT 1 - Sound Shaping (Part 2)

This exercise was given audio and we had to shape the audio to make sure it fits different environments.
1. Phone Call
2. Closet
3. Cave
4. Stadium
5. Bathroom

I got Feedback that bathroom room space too wide so I improvised it and submission below .

PROJECT 1 - Sound Design (Part 3)

This exercise was also given audio and we had to add different effects to make the audio sound better by using mixing and layering.
1. Explosion

REFLECTIONS

Audio Dubbing (Part 1) This task was very interesting to me , as I really liked the process and im thinking to specialise in Audio designing. Audio assignments and exercises were fun and interesting as I liked the process that I have to pitch different in each and every character .
However, this makes me respect sound designers even more than I already do, it shows how vital and almost unappreciated their jobs can be. As most people would assume the audio from movies, television and many more are just from the environment itself rather than a sound designers expertise 
Me even before this exercise I thought the sounds in the videos from the background and so on I really enjoyed .

Sound Shaping (Part 2) This task was pretty simple to do with the help of Mr Martins prerecorded lecture.As he explained every and each step needs to be done this allowed me to understand what the effects and settings do to the audio clips. One observation I made was that the simplicity of the effects can really add a lot towards the depth of audio like playing with simple settings allows interesting changes to a simple sound or voice, One finding I made is that a low bass in audio can give it a very low-quality setting. Also I learned about listening to things carefully and also especially for the room size .

Sound Design (Part 3) This was our last exercise and task for Video & Sound Production. To be honest Im so sad that's its about to end especially for Sound designing in general as I really liked the process and Im thinking critically to specialise in any Sound Designing .
 I am glad to have taken this module and it was a really interesting class especially with Mr Martin He's so lovely & supportive he also push me forward to do my best and this module I didnt take it as module and I have to pass NO I really did everything with love and I enjoyed everything through out this module .I understood how important sound really is to an entire experience. I realise how crucial sound can be to a viewer. One observation I made was that reversing a sound can create completely new and very interesting audio that can be used for different things.
