Project 1 - Landing Page

A landing page is a standalone web page, created specifically for a marketing or advertising campaign. The landing page is where visitors "land" after they click on a link. In this project, we have to create a static landing page for our own choice.
For my landing page, I decided to choose page for movies .
So started to Digitalise directly as I had the idea on my mind already.

Week 6

This week's lecture was on the website layout and structures, where also we learned about sitemaps and wireframes. When planning a website's structure we should first identify the target audience and market, only then are the steps listed followed:

Start with rough outline
Identifying of keywords, defining audience, build content

Consider monitor size
Most common sizes are width (960 px) and height (700 px); or one can use the 960 grid, or by using software like bootstrap allows us to view our website to be responsive for all devices.

Consider user experience
Good user experience involves white/negative spaces, allowing readers to know what to read/see first, can be easily navigated.

Consider browsers
The types of browsers should be considered however a responsive website would be adapted to any browsers.

Find a hosting service
When finding a web hosting service the things that should be considered are as listed below:
1. Price
2. Domain Purchases
3. Reliability
4. Disk Space and bandwidth
5. Features (site builders, databases, multiple domains, tracking tools)
6. Support

What Is Sitemap?
Example:

Start with home page
• Answers (what should I do?)
• What is your conversion goal?

How many themes or categories do you have?
Theme Grouping (ex: shoes)
• running shoe section
• skate shoes section
• hiking boots section
• cleats section

Link from home page down
• Don’t link every page from every other page
• Waters down your themes (socks in shoe section)
• Streamlines SEO
• Better user experience

First outcome ( not final )

I got feedback from Sir , Design is fine and should be doable in coding proceed with Project 2
He suggested to add my own logo instead of merry cinema in font .
He also said you can improve on this page u can add latest news or update or chart for top movies.
