Task 2: Content Generation
For this task, we must create 3000 words' worth of content for our book. The article should have a minimum of three chapters, one pull quote per chapter, and one subtext. The information in our book can either be self-written by us or found online. I made the decision to write a piece about Egypt and its rich history.
Summary of my contents
- About the Pyramids
- About the Egyptian Art
- About the Egyptian Fashion

I started to work on the photographs and images style on photoshop to create an vintage theme .
So i was thinking to play with ornamentale elements around the pages and text , and also play with the theme to make it yellow which is egypt famous with deserts , camels and pyramids so i wanted to choose same colour scheme.
Yellow , gold and blue
Maybe in the book we can cut the background of the photographs and leave the coloured the images subjects in order to leave white empty sapce for the text , I was thinking to make the papers look like papyrus .
Like this

After that , i decided to search more and doodle more to decide which font will perfectly fit my book .
So after long and deep thinking i chose Kensis Pro , I felt its more likely to be as the ancient egyptian font not exactly the same but very close to it .

Then i started to play around thinking how i will design the book so i started by some illustarutions , the style i wanted to be similar with the egyptian flat style .
The illustrations is a flat illustration to remember Egyptian art and style

FEEDBACK
I didnt take much specific feedbacks about my visuals of work cause i submitted late casue i was so sick and not attending the classes .
My own feedback that i didnt like my work so i decided to improve them and started to wotk on new ideas.
So i started to come up with new ideas , unfortunately i didnt get much of feedbacks cause i was so stressed and also i was about to defer the semester and go back my home country but i had beleive in myself that i can finish the work .
REFLECTIONS
Experience
This task was extremely difficult for me since I was going to postpone the entire semester, pack my bags, and return, but I didn't want to lose everything, so I decided to force myself to work harder.
I worked too much, which made it a hard and unpleasant semester, and I didn't get to see Mr. Vinod enough to get adequate advice, but I did my best.
Findings
I discovered that you can create an engaging book with images, and I believe I'm the only student in the class who didn't illustrate.
I made an effort to illustrate, however my concept was a little odd and I wanted to create something unique.
When I visited the library to get some references, every book on my topic had excellent illustrations and was really engaging, which inspired me to create a book with a different aesthetic.
It can be difficult to design the illustrations for a book.
Keeping a consistent aesthetic throughout all of the images is one of the biggest issues I encounter.
particularly given that I used images rather than illustrations. Since I have a very little understanding of colour, it was difficult for me to find hues that would complement the complete aesthetic.
Additionally, because finding high-quality photos is so crucial, it was quite difficult.
Observation
I noticed that there are actually lots of different approaches to make images. We should always make an effort to think from a unique perspective.

Also it talked about the back cover and the barcode.
Let's get all of the less glamorous practicalities out of the way first, starting with the ISBN.
An ISBN is a unique, 13-digit code used to identify a book, usually found just above the barcode at the bottom of the back cover.
The exterior design of a book is one of its most important features so getting it right can feel a little daunting at first. But, now that you’ve got a solid grasp of its various elements — you know what it takes for a cover to truly work.
