PRACTICAL

Project 1: Instructable Infographic
For this project, we had to pick a cooking video from Pasta Grannies' YouTube channel and turn it into an informative infographic that we could then animation. I immediately started looking for a recipe I wanted to try; there were some new ones and some that I had seen previously. But I wanted to hunt for a traditional, straightforward dish that I haven't tried previously. 
That's when I saw this adorable little grandma cooking up her easy gnocchi dish with homemade passata, or tomato sauce. This dish appealed to me in particular because, aside from the fact that it just calls for basic ingredients and produces a platter of comforting, homely flavour, the grandma made cooking gnocchi seem like such an easy task. After that, I made the decision to work with g-ma Domenica on this endeavour; her recipe is provided below. 




Watching a video was my initial step, after which I broke down the content to find the key points to emphasise and any material that might be left out. I then put together my visual analysis of the film. 





After that, I went about searching for sources of inspiration and guidance in order to create my moodboard.





I so began my AI illustration using that and created my first sketch
